Vegan Cheese – The Real Deal @ Alaska Berlin

Do you want learn how to make vegan aged cheese, like camembert and blue cheese? I mean, the real ones, inoculated with mold and aged for weeks or months until all the flavor has developed, awakening your gustatory senses. All that using only plant based ingredients like cashews and almonds!
In this workshop you will learn the principles of aged vegan cheese, why and when you need curdled cheeses, how to allow the cheese to age and develop the flavors and much more. All that you need to know to make cheeses at home.

Some of the cheese types you will learn how to make in this workshop:

Fresh cheese types, like feta and queso blanco.
Mold-ripened cheese types, like camembert and blue cheese.
Fermented cream-cheese types, that can be used as spreads.

With those basics you can create your own type of cheese.

This workshop will focus more on techniques rather then following recipes, but you will receive recipes for the aforementioned type of cheeses at the end of the workshop so you can make at home.

You will also be able to try different Almond and Cashew based cheeses at the end of the workshop.

Presentation will be in English and German.

Willst du wissen, wie man veganer Käse wie Camembert und Blauschimmelkäse herstellen kann? Ich meinte, der echten Käse, der den man Wochen- oder- Monatelang reifen lassen muss um dem besten Geschmack herauszubringen. Alle aus pflanzlischen Zutaten.

In dieses Workshop wird man lernen, alle Grundläge um veganer gereiften Käse selber zu machen und Teilnehmern werden auch Käse-Rezepte bekommen.

Die Teilnehmern können am ende des Workshops verschiedene Käse aus Cashew- oder-Mandelbasis ausprobieren.

Workshop wird auf Englisch und Deutsch präsentiert.
